Our team is happy to help! Whether an employee is new to Tigercat or starting a new role, they are partnered with experienced team members to ensure they have the tools and training to be successful at Tigercat. Team work makes the dream work!

We encourage our employees to actively participate in making Tigercat the best place to work by getting involved in health and safety, process improvements, and innovation.

We are family-oriented and have a dedicated Social Committee to assist in the organization of many events throughout the year such as our annual holiday parties, summer family picnic, plant BBQs and sporting events.

Employees are empowered to lead their careers by reviewing their current skill sets and determining appropriate avenues for training and development. Our reimbursement program allows employees to request work-related courses or programs from accredited institutions such as Colleges, Universities or Trade Schools. Upon approval and successful completion, our employees are reimbursed tuition based on the grade percentage achieved. Our current maximum lifetime reimbursement limit is $12,500.00.

Absolutely! We encourage and provide opportunity for advancement in a variety of ways. Through performance reviews, the Company recognizes and rewards success as well as provides feedback and identifies goals and objectives that will help employees improve performance and assist them in achieving their future goals. Our performance reviews are benchmarked against previously determined performance criteria, including safety, quality, productivity, attendance and conduct. Successful performance reviews are a requirement for consideration when applying to internal postings.

We recognize and support work-life balance. Our goal is to enhance communication and strive toward pre-planned events as much as possible. The company is committed to offering flexibility to our employee’s regular working schedule. The purpose of pre-arranged time off is to provide employees with flexibility from work that can be used for such needs as personal or family appointments.

To support work life balance Tigercat offers dedicated shifts, and NO mandatory overtime! All overtime is voluntary!

Each employee performs an important function and it takes the cooperation and commitment from everyone to operate effectively to meet our customers’ requirements. Attendance, punctuality and pre-planning are all very important parts of meeting this commitment to both our team members and our customers.

Our standard work hours are 40 hours per week for day, afternoon and night shifts and 36 hours per week for weekend shifts.

Examples of dedicated shift hours include:

  • Days – Monday to Friday, 5 x 8-hour shifts
  • Afternoons and Nights – Monday to Thursday, 4 x 10-hour shifts
  • Weekends – Friday to Sunday, 3 x 12-hour shifts

We also offer generous shift premiums!

  • Afternoon shift premium $3.00
  • Weekend day shift premium $4.00
Is there mandatory overtime?2023-03-06T13:19:29-05:00

Overtime is voluntary at Tigercat. In order to qualify for overtime, you must have worked your full standard week’s hours (40 hours for day, afternoon and night shifts or 36 hours for weekend shifts). Overtime is approved and managed by the Supervisor and will be distributed fairly among those employees who have the requisite skill set and proficiency.

What is the vacation policy?2023-03-06T13:20:03-05:00

Everyone starts with 3 weeks’ vacation! In addition to the public holidays, there are two designated paid floater days per year.

Employees can request to carry forward up to one week of unused vacation. Regular shift premiums will also be paid for public and floating holidays.

Extended health and dental benefits, life insurance, and travel insurance are Company-paid. Employees are eligible for health and dental benefits after 90 days of continuous full-time hours.

We also provide an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP). Our EFAP is company-paid and employees are eligible to use this service immediately upon hire. The EFAP offers confidential and voluntary professional consultation, counseling and work-life service available 24 hours/day in-person, by telephone or online.

Is there an RRSP program?2022-07-13T10:58:03-04:00

All permanent, full time, Canadian-based employees may join our Group RRSP after 90 days of continuous, active, full-time employment. The Company will match 50% of employee contributions to a maximum of $2,000.00 per calendar year. This match is available once an employee reaches six months of continuous, active, full-time employment.
